Their driving vision was to provide excellence in interpreting services to all consumers. This came to fruition as a one-room, part-time, home-based business but quickly evolved into a full-time dedicated effort. By 1999 PIE moved to it's current location and was firmly established as a full scale agency providing job opportunities for Deaf and Hearing staff and mentoring opportunities to budding professionals.

PIE continued to grow in an attempt to help meet growing needs and raise professional standards so that excellence in service could truly be achieved.
Services
The PIE team is comprised of individuals who are collectively proficient in a variety of communication modalities and situations. Team members uphold licensure and current credentials, participate in ongoing professional development and state of the art training. All PIE interpreters adhere to the RID Code of Professional Conduct and the State of Wisconsin Sign Language Interpreter Code of Conduct (Chapter SPS 201). All PIE interpreters working in legal settings adhere to the Wisconsin Code of Professional Responsibility for Interpreters in the Judiciary.
PIE respects the right of each individual to communicate in the manner which he or she feels most comfortable and successful, in whatever venue should require communication facilitation, and without concern that the quality of services will compromise one's ability to participate to the extent desired.

I just wanted to comment on your interpreters. One was a deaf interpreter and the other hearing. They were absolutely amazing! They were both kind, friendly, and worked wonderfully with my client. He was able to tell us his concerns, what he was happy about, questions he still had about home ownership etc.
