Services
Gene and Alice Rainone, after spending 15 years in Ecuador, returned to the United States with an in-depth understanding of Latin America and the Spanish language. Since then, they have not only become instructors of Spanish at Community Colleges in Western North Carolina, but have authored nine text books used in the classroom.
On-Site Interpreting involves an Interpreter who facilitates between 2 or more parties in usually one-language pair (Ex: English-Spanish). The Interpreter is actually present at the session. Consecutive style is used in medical settings usually. The Medical Professional communicates and then pauses while the Interpreter interprets to the patient.
Telephonic Interpreting On Demand is especially useful when the language to be interpreted is a Non-Traditional language (a language with relatively fewer speakers than Traditional languages). In such cases, it is difficult to locate trained, experienced interpreters outside cosmopolitan areas. Therefore, there is a lack of On-Site Interpreters in these Non-Traditional languages in less populated areas. Our Telephonic On Demand Interpreters Are Available 24 Hours a Day / 7 Days a Week / 365 Days a Year for Most Languages.
The single most important factor in obtaining competitive pricing is the MINIMUM SESSION. Most interpreting agencies charge a 2-hour 'minimum session'. That means you will be charged 2 hours even if the interpreting session only lasts 15 minutes. American Sign Language or ASL always has a 2-hour minimum.

My experience with Verbatim is through Spanish classes and the text books that Gene and Alice have written. During their time in Ecuador, they truly mastered the language and studied it to a depth that most people do not pursue. Both are extremely capable teachers, and it is obvious that they are devoted to knowing exactly how the language works. I am aware of their translation services through discussions we have during class breaks. Their attention to perfection is to be admired, and it is extremely important when dealing with translations.
