Since 2003, 1 World Translation has been "Making a World of Difference" through its focus on translation and interpreting services among medical, legal, business-to-business, government agency and education clients across the great state of Colorado. One World Translation was founded by Carolina Weaver, an English/Spanish bilingual medical nurse case manager working with injured workers for insurance companies. Her expertise was to streamline medical care and get the injured worker patients back to work.
If you have any special circumstances or requests for a gender-specific interpreter, just let us know. We're also available to cover short notice, last minute assignments whenever we can just give us a call. We have multilingual staff in our office and others are just a quick phone call away. You can call us for a "right now" phone call or to set up a call for a later time.
Our courses explore the "Best Practices" of the Professional Interpreting industry for Community, Social, Medical, and Behavioral Health settings. The foundations and basics of proper interpreting technique, cultural competency, inclusiveness, healthcare systems, disparities, terminology fluency, relationships, workers' compensation and behavioral health are all addressed in content we'll offer in the 1 World Education Series this year. Comfort in these aspects are essential to to a confident interpreter competent and capable to complete the national certification examinations.
Translating and interpreting share the common goal of taking the spoken or written word from one language and communicating it in another. Translating is done using written words and interpreting is done verbally. We are able to match to your specific needs, including a target dialect, with the right translator in the specific field of expertise desired.

I was a contract interpreter for 1 World Translation for a few years. For two years, the company was great at paying me on time. Since December 2019, they would not pay me on two monthly invoices, which led me to stop accepting new assignments. I contacted the operations manager, Ivon Estela Romo and John Guffey several times via phone calls and emails with all proper documentation of the clients I worked for (vform properly signed by receptionist at doctor offices with appointment ID). Mr. Guffey would not even return my calls or emails. Ms. Romo kept telling me that she was going to look into it and did not get back to me.
It's now 7 months later and my invoices are still unpaid. Not a great company to work for if they don't pay their contractors. UPDATE: After reading my online review, the company paid me a full amount for my service.

Been working with 1WT for a couple of months and I truly enjoy the work as an independent contractor. The staff is great, always there to help with whatever issues you might have. The assignments are fun and varied. If you live in cities like Golden, Brighton, Westminister, plenty of work for people interested in more of a full time job.
