I am an independent professional medical interpreter that have worked frequently and extensively with Excel interpreting. Let me start by saying that the staff is kind and helpful. However, the very few times that I have interacted with the managers and supervisors that work here were very AWFUL and UNPROFESSIONAL. I have done at least one or two jobs per month for a year with Excel.

The 2 times I ran into an issue during the jobs, I had to report it to Excel Agency managers. Both times I spoke with a female manager/supervisor. And both times she treated me very rudely and unprofessionally. As if I was a child, let alone an employee, let alone an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. In the second encounter, I immediately asked her to remove me off her interpreters list. I'd rather be an independent contractor that works with an agency that treats them as INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS not children.

Had to deal with my mom's insurance co. and when they asked do you need a translator, I said no, because every time I say, yes, I need a Bulgarian interpreter, I get the "slow blinking". Yes people, there IS such thing as Bulgarian language. But the insurance rep insisted so I said fine, I need Bulgarian. Out of nowhere they pull up. a Bulgarian translator!

I was so shocked that I wanted to try other obscure languages just to see if they have 'em! Anyways, the lady was great - translated CORRECTLY and with nuance. I was so floored that I had to ask - who do you work for? She said Excel Interpreting. So I'm here, letting you know that you guys are amazing 'cause I've NEVER had somebody translate Bulgarian COMPETENTLY! Humm. I wonder if you have Catalan. or Malay

This place is nice. It is upscale, we have one side for the 21 and up and then you have another side completely separate for the kiddies.
