Suzuki, Myers & Associates, Ltd. began in 1986 as a full-service consultancy and language agency in the Japan-North American interface. SM&A has grown to represent the highest in skill and service with clients of all levels in the US, Canada, and Japan. The company became an advisor to the sister-city relationship between Grand Rapids and Omihachiman in Shiga Prefecture.

Myers worked at the Augsburger Law Office in Birmingham. Izumi Suzuki became Manager for Japan Relations after training at Holiday Inn in Farmington Hills.
